Well...here it is. The fruits of our labour!

I had the great pleasure of handing over the Variety Club Sunshine Coach yesterday, and what a humbling experience it was! It has gone to the most wonderful respite centre (Clockhouse) in Keighley, West Yorkshire, which caters for 18 disabled and special needs children. The children stay there for one or two nights a week so that their parents can have a bit of a rest and they have a fantastic playroom with lights, music and a safe playpen for those who spend most of their lives in a wheelchair to have a taste of the freedom which we take for granted.

Obviously, it was a very emotional time for me and the girls but, when I was told that their previous coach was taken from them two years ago because it was no longer road worthy and they'd not been able to take the kids on any outings, it made us so happy to hand over the keys to a shiny new 17 seater coach with a wheelchair lift....yes, we raised enough money for the 'big one'! The staff, children and parents couldn't stop thanking us....but I said I'd pass on their thanks to every single person who gave time, support and donations for this worthy cause.
